1st Year Basketball season, off to a great start!

The first year boys team have come out flying in the first game of the season. The boys won 20 - 10 when they played Tullamore College on the 19/01/2015. The home game was won with ease with the 14 strong panel showing the potential of the youth team. Keep an eye on this team for the rest of the season!

Midlands U16 Champions!

The U/16 boys basketball team have had a strong season this year. We topped the group in the midlands division D with no games lost. We beat Scoil Mhuire Clane to secure our place in the midlands final. On  Monday 8th December we travelled to Portlaoise to play Scoil Mhuire once again but this time as favourites in the Midlands final. The first quarter we were down by 1 point. The second quarter saw an impressive fight back and by the half we led by 2 points. From there on it was plain sailing and we finished champions by an impressive margin of 11 points!. We look forward to defending our title next year!

Basketball News
The Basketball season has begun again at St. Conleths. Training has been underway and matches are now being played.
Mr. Quille and the under 16 boys played their first match this week. It was a friendly match at home to Tullamore College. It was a great start to what they hope will be an even better year.
The under 16 girls coached by Ms. O'Connell also made their first competitive start to the season. They played away to Athy College. It was a well played match and although they fought it out to the end, the victory did not go their way. The girls play Mountmellick Community School on Monday the 11th. Best of luck for a good game.

Basketball training starts back up:

Boys and Girls U16 basketball is starting back up. Please talk to your teacher for more information.
