On 04/03/21 students undertook digging and planting all the bulbs. As time goes on we hope to add more to the garden. It was an enjoyable experience and the class waits in anticipation for their hard work to blossom.
Halloween 2020
Before the Halloween break students created their own pumpkins using the skills they learnt in cooking and literacy classes. They really enjoyed the activity and were proud of their scary pumpkins.
Christmas 2020

Students wrote Santa Letters and posted them., created various arts & crafts, had shopping trips for supplies, decorated the Cherry Centre including putting up two Christmas trees one inside and one outside.
Birthdays
Throughout the year we celebrate student's birthdays either with their favorite activities and making cards for the student.

Model Making
Mr. Kelleher with 3C makes all different household products like Christmas logs, photo frames, signs, love hearts etc. The students with guidance from Mr. Kelleher get to use certain tools and paint/ decorate their creations.
PE
Mr. Whyte pre-Covid brought the students to the gym and engages with exercise routines with helps students with their mobility and fine motors skills. If it’s a fine day, students go on the walking track for some fresh air.
Literacy & Numeracy
Ms. Troy and Mr. Nolan link their course work with practical elements for more positive engagement and better learning outcomes. This includes social outings associated with topics in class, paying for goods etc.
Being Part of the Community
This element of the course is very practical. 3C students go on shopping trips, the park, visit local amenities like the train station, go cafes etc. It also works on the area of general life skills for students to develop personal skills like using a washing machine, hanging out clothes, filling a dishwasher etc. Students really enjoy this as they are consistently practicing their skills. When Covid regulations are removed, we hope to have another visit in from another emergency agency like fire brigade previously.
Spring
As part of study the topic of Spring in literacy class on 05/04/21, pullet Batons hens were brought in for the students to see and pet. This was a big surprise for the class which they found fascinating. Students also got to feed the visiting hens.
